The project was targeted at secondary school children ages between 14-16. This poster aims to encourage and inspire school pupils to fight against their gender bias and choose subjects that go against their gender stereotype. My poster uses the colour yellow to empower and motivates my target audience and yellow is not a gender bias colour. I used an assertive phrase "you can change this" to empower and challenge my audiences thinking. This phrase directs the audience to a small statistic which says "9% of engineering industry is female." Which is scaled to 9%of the page. Making the audience curious about what they change. The fact that the statistic is such a small percentage challenges the audience to make a change and calls them to make a change. Ending with the line "your gender does not determine your career path." to reinforce the message behind the poster. I wanted my poster to be quite playful to attract a young target audience, hence the reason for using doodle style illustrations.
