This monograph was inspired by the fashion designer, Ashish Gupta, who loves sequins and glitter. He gets his inspiration from unusual places. I found my inspiration for this monograph from one of his fashion collections which was unusually inspired by one of his visits to his local corner shops. He was inspired by the unique packaging and typography. I then took inspiration from this collection to design my monograph. Designing the flow of the monogram and keeping the fashion apart of the monograph layout meant that I chose to go for a look book style with photographs at the front and then text at the back of the monograph. I also started the monograph and finished the monograph with two opposite images. One urban and one of a catwalk runway to show how Ashish Gupta brings the street style to the catwalk. Also starting the monograph with an image of a corner shop to show where the inspiration behind this collection was found. Binding the monograph with a saddle stitch bind using gold sparkled thread, to reflect how Ashish Gupta hand sews the sequins individually onto each garment.
